Me: I am handling the lower dose of worms just fine. I’ve had some very mild abdominal discomfort for about a week – a slight crampy feeling across the belt line – but nothing to write home about. I am very excited because this shows that even the most sensitive person can handle a low dose. As it’s only 3 1/2 weeks since I got my 3 new worms, I wouldn’t expect to feel anything from them for at least another 8 to 10 weeks. I had a load of blood work done last week which does show my blood eosinophils are high, as is to be expected.
Alex: It’s been 2 weeks since his final TSO. He has continued to do very well. He is talking far more often. Still nothing original, but what he is saying is appropriate and his articulation is noticeably more clear. Still no side effects from the 8 worms he is now carrying.
Liam: Also doing well, generally. It’s now been about 6 weeks since his last TSO and there has been no flare-up of either foot eczema or his ordinary eczema.
My Dad: he is now carrying 25 worms. Last week he went down to 3 puffs of his steroidal asthma inhaler from 4 per day. He has absolutely no wheezing – we’re all pretty excited about this. Since it’s still early days and since his original dose was only 10 worms, he is being very conservative about lowering his medications. However, this initial change in dose is very encouraging.
So, as of June 30th, the news is only good.
